As pastors, we understand the word “multi-tasking.” Our lives are filled with many demands all vying for our precious and limited time. While it’s very easy to be consumed with local responsibilities, I want to encourage you to take a minute to step back and see the larger landscape of your ministry calling.
We are living in an unprecedented time of attacks on our most cherished liberties. Consider the assaults on religious liberty. The Indiana General Assembly will face another massive charge by the LGBT community, corporate America and the national media pushing for special protected class status for sexual orientation and gender identity. Additionally, the Supreme Court’s ruling legalizing same-sex marriage has opened the floodgates for further attacks on our religious freedoms.
We need to build a relational infrastructure of kingdom-minded shepherds who are willing to work together to stand and protect our congregations. The Indiana Pastors’ Alliance was created to be a relational network of like-minded clergy and churches that lock arms to advance and defend the cause of faith, family and freedom throughout our great State. We are looking for men and women who will courageously take their place as “watchmen on the wall” and become the strong community leaders God has called us to be.
I recently read an account of a successful public policy battle that took place in another state as Christians were able to defeat a dangerous piece of legislation. What were the strategic keys to their success? Individual courage and a rock-solid alliance. We are looking to lock arms with pastors across our great state to form a relational network of shepherds who will champion the cause of faith, family, and religious freedom.
While we all have tremendous responsibilities caring for the needs of our local congregations, there are times when we must work together with other believers to protect the liberties we all hold dear. Our efforts have been met with limited success largely because we remain isolated and fragmented. The Indiana Pastors Alliance is designed to bring us together to form a united voice for righteousness.
We believe the church of Jesus Christ is still the most powerful voice for truth and liberty. Our desire is to facilitate greater unity and collaboration among the Body of Christ as we stand together as salt and light in our communities. We are seeking to partner with key pastors in every county. If you would like more information, please complete the application below. We look forward to meeting and partnering with you!
For the Glory of God and the Good of the People,
